Here's the short story: I always knew there was something bigger in Yin
It’s no secret that Yin can do magical things to the soul. It can cultivate the virtue of patience, it can remove physical pain and it can help you sleep better, feel better, live better.
If you have every dropped in deeply into the practice then you may know what I am talking about.
Yet, early on when I was first training, I noticed gaps that were not being touched on. Gaps in how to actually teach Yin with methodology, gaps in what lay beyond the asana, in the mind, the soul, the energetics and how all of this links together, in alignment with Yin Yoga. Why these gaps existed just didn't make sense to me.
It was like everybody was missing the big picture.
Because there is no alignment in Yin, it's not a one size fits all and so understanding the functionality and mechanics of the pose is even more paramount than in Hatha / Vinyasa...
Except this is also just beginning. Functional Anatomy is where most teachers stop, but where we must begin.
What if you could sequence functionally AND take your students deeper, in a way that meets each individual where they are at - without any notes?
This is the teacher who I aspired to be and now how I train my students to teach.
I started as a self taught Yin teacher who thought they knew everything because I had a 200 hr. How wrong I was.
When I felt the lack of confidence, knowledge and experience in my own teaching I knew things had to change.
I went on a pilgrimage around the world to learn how to teach Yin intelligently, beyond the physical, into true Yin consciousness.
I didn’t just learn with Yoga teachers though, I studied with fascial anatomists, acupuncturists and Buddhists, as well as many Yoga teachers from all different walks of life.
After teaching on my 300 hr training, as a guest teacher, I started training Yoga teachers in India in 2016 when I was became a lead trainer of the 200 & 300 hr courses.
And where I developed the 5-Dimensional Yin Teaching Methodology.
Fast forward to today...
Instead of using hours of planning to give just a simple class. I train my students how to cut their planning time by a quarter, take their students on a journey into the energetics, mental landscape, emotional sphere and spiritual evolution - in a safe way.
And the best part?
While serving each person individually and adapting the practice for all with the 4 principles of propping, they effortlessly drop into experiential teaching, without worrying about pose names or remembering (or getting lost in) their mountain of notes.
A simple tweak in your Yin teaching methodology, with the 5 dimensional approach, could be the training that you've been looking for all along.
After training Yin teachers around the world for 8 years, I decided to put this methodology into a short, mini course so I can reveal the entire journey and how to activate it with your students, called:
